Gdynia City Logistics awarded BREEAM Excellent – modern urban logistics in ESG standard

The Gdynia City Logistics distribution center, developed jointly by Torus and BTV, has been awarded the prestigious BREEAM International New Construction V6 certification at the Excellent level, confirming its high environmental and quality standards. The certification process was carried out by Sweco Polska, with Pekabex BET S.A. as the general contractor.

The location of Gdynia City Logistics at Północna 10 provides a unique competitive advantage – immediate proximity to the port, the main transport arteries of the Tri-City area, and quick access to end markets. The project is characterized by its urban setting, allowing efficient access to port infrastructure, the city center and regional industrial zones. These advantages are particularly important for logistics operators, retail chains and e-commerce companies that expect short delivery times and predictable operating costs.

Gdynia City Logistics is an example of a high-class warehouse facility shows how urban logistics can be innovative, efficient and environmentally friendly. Its central Tri-City location, high technical standards and sustainable solutions confirmed by the BREEAM certification place the investment in line with global ESG trends. It is very important to us that we have restored a significant place on the map of Gdynia to use. Now it has gained a new function and supports the growth of the local economy – says Przemysław Ryś, CEO of Torus.

Achieving the BREEAM Excellent certification for Gdynia City Logistics proves that a warehouse can be both functional and designed and executed in a way that truly supports environmental goals. We implemented a number of solutions – from energy-efficient installations to a modern energy management system – which directly translate into user comfort and reduced operating costs – adds Tomasz Puch, Co-Founder and Managing Partner at BTV.

BREEAM is one of the world’s most recognized building assessment methods, evaluating, among other factors, energy efficiency, water management, environmental impact, quality of the working environment, and innovation.

The certification for Gdynia City Logistics marks another step in building a portfolio of modern, environmentally friendly facilities that meet the growing expectations of tenants and align with global ESG standards.
