Torus, in partnership with BTV, has secured a building permit for the construction of its latest project – Gdynia City Logistics. The modern warehouse-office facility, which offers innovative and sustainable solutions, is already being constructed, and is scheduled for delivery in Q3 2024.
The sanctioned project encompasses the development of a cutting-edge warehouse and office facility, spanning over 23,500 square meters. Positioned on Północna Street, a mere five kilometres from the Gdynia Port, and nine kilometres from the city centre of Gdynia, the site strategically caters to diverse operational needs, including port-related services, inner-city logistics/last-mile delivery, and e-commerce. The soon-to-be-built Red Road and the Northern Bypass of the Tricity Agglomeration (OPAT) will ensure a direct connection between the Gdynia Port with the network of state roads, including the S6 express road, providing fast and trouble-free deliveries within the Tricity and beyond, covering the entire country.
Torus Logistics and BTV are renowned companies that combine their respective experience and visions to erect Gdynia City Logistics – a project answering the growing needs of the logistic market.
- We consistently diversify our development activities, capitalizing on the favourable market conditions in the logistics sector. We have vast experience from other warehouse or office investments, which will pay off here, and will be reflected, among other things, in the functionality of the facility or its certification. Gdynia City Logistics is characterised by its outstanding urban location, which I am convinced will quickly validate itself through the corresponding interest from the market - says Sławomir Gajewski, CEO of Torus.
- Gdynia City Logistics is not merely a modern logistics centre; it symbolizes our commitment to pioneering innovative and sustainable solutions for the dynamically evolving logistics market. As a Development Manager collaborating with Torus Logistics, we aspire to create a facility that not only meets but surpasses the expectations of our customers, offering efficiency, savings, and environmental responsibility - says Tomasz Puch, Co-Founder and Managing Partner at BTV.
The environmentally conscious design of the facility incorporates the state-of-the-art features, such
as photovoltaic panels, heat pumps for energy efficiency, providing energy savings significantly reducing maintenance costs, along with LED lighting, and skylights for natural illumination. Gdynia City Logistics also boasts amenities such as bicycle shelters, an outdoor relaxation area with a gym, electric car chargers, flower meadows, insect houses, and beehives. Notably, these initiatives comfortably position the warehouse for the BREEAM certification, with an anticipated ‘Excellent’ rating.
