Growth-boosting office

Sitel combines an innovative design approach with digital solutions, having its services used by global frontrunners in technology and e-commerce, among others. The company has been developing in Poland since 2004, with the current headcount of 1,300 employees, choosing Gdansk as its second location in Poland.
- We have ambitious plans for development, and it requires a modern and well-located space. The Format office building expertly meets these very needs. The edifice stands out with the high construction standard, energy-saving properties, so clearly significant these days, and with multiple facilities dedicated for employees. The overall process which encompassed the preparatory works, fit-out, and commissioning, went in an incredibly smooth manner, thanks to which our team has already started work in the new office – says Monika Röhr-Łukasik, Country Director Poland, Sitel Group.
The new office of Sitel Polska is located on the second floor of the Format office building, and takes up the space of over 1.7 thousand square metres. The fitout design was drawn up by the Torus’ design department. The office prides on open space that embraces numerous workstations, functionally supplemented by meeting rooms and acoustic booths which provide working area for individuals or small, 2-4 person strong teams. The design incorporates much greenery in the form of flower pots with diverse vegetation. The kitchen area, including a relaxation zone, will certainly make an important spot for integration.
The lease transaction was supported by the ITRA Polska consulting company.
- The Tricity has joined the group of Polish markets which offer at least one million square metres of office space. It is also a market characterized by the low indication of unleased space. Despite the supply of new projects, finding space which meets all the criteria set by a lessee tends to be a challenging process in the Tricity. I am glad that the needs of our client – Sitel – have been met will full understanding by the lessor, with the space preparation having smoothly taken place, fulfilling all respective standards – says Martyna Balcer, chief of operations in ITRA Polska.
- I am convinced that Sitel’s new Format-located office will deliver on all hopes and promises, and will make up an important component of the company’s further growth on our market. Together with the whole team involved in the process, we are proud to have prepared, ably and expertly, such a sizeable space within such a short timeframe – says Marcin Piątkowski, Leasing Director in Torus.
Good Format
Format is located in a business district of Gdańsk, at the border of Oliwa and Przymorze. The building has five overground storeys, with a total leasable area of close to sixteen thousand square metres. Format is well served by public transport – it is located right next to the PKP/SKM Oliwa railway station, providing comfortable and quick commute to work for the dwellers of both the Tricity, and of the nearby towns as well. The station also services intercity trains, which ensures a massive advantage with regard to business trips or meetings. The building offers a significant number of car parking spots – 396 in total, and also an extensive infrastructure for cyclists (parking spots outside of the building, alongside special zones at underground parking lots, accompanied by changing rooms with shower facilitates and lockers). An exterior sports zone is also being considered – basketball and volleyball courts, which are to promote integration and outdoor physical activity.
The building was awarded the Gold-level LEED pre-certificate, therefore it fulfils rigid environmental and health standards. The ‘Obiekt bez Barier’ (Facility without Barriers) is also being targeted, in order to officially recognize the building’s adjustment to the needs of the disabled. Format was designed by the Tricity Subsidiary of APA Wojciechowski Architekci design office. The occupancy rate of the building stands currently at 60%.
