DOKI Office recognized by CIJ Awards Poland

The DOKI Office investment, designed by APA Wojciechowski Architekci, won in the Best Upcoming Office Development of the Year category at the CIJ Awards Poland 2021. Torus beat six other projects to the award, two of which (PUNKT and FORMAT) are also TORUS investments designed by ‘APA’.

On November 4, in the Raffles Europejski hotel in Warsaw, a solemn gala was held to sum up the twentieth edition of the CIJ Awards Poland competition. DOKI Office has been recognized this year as the best upcoming investment in Poland, beating The Bridge (Ghelamco, Warsaw), Infinity office buildings (Avestus Real Estate, Wrocław), Centrum Południe – stage II (Skanska, Wrocław), Fuzja – stages C and D (Echo Investment, Łódź), and Punkt and Format (Torus, Gdańsk). The CIJ Awards Poland gala is a recognized and prestigious event on the Polish and European real estate market, both in terms of commercial premises, and residential alike. This branch competition enjoys also the longest history in Poland, and accompanies the evolution of the Polish real estate market for over twenty years. The event jury acknowledges not only the most interesting investments and respective managing teams, but also the most innovative concepts and solutions.

It is yet another branch award DOKI Office has received recently, the construction of which we are to launch at the start of next year. We are filled with pride as it seems the investment does not only receive fantastic accolades, but it is also highly anticipated. This is an even greater obligation for us to make sure the project meets the expectations of the market and branch
-– says Marcin Piątkowski, Leasing&Marketing Director in Torus.

DOKI Office is a part of a multifunctional investment, located in Gdańsk in the historic, post-shipyard areas, realized jointly by two local developers, leaders in their respective market segments. Euro Styl, from Dom Development Group, the biggest residence housing developer in Poland, is responsible for the residential part (DOKI Living), and commercial part (MONTOWNIA – a historic, revitalized building with unique architecture). Torus, specializing in commercial buildings, on its part, carries out the office-commercial chunk of the construction (DOKI Office).

DOKI Office will account for two buildings with total leasable area of almost thirty-eight thousand square metres. The vicinity is designed in a way to provide friendly space that encapsulates city life, favouring relaxation and integration among employees. The ground floors will accommodate all sorts of services. One of the premises will be occupied by an artistic coffee shop, which will be set up in cooperation with local artists. The office buildings will be certified in the LEED v4 system, which guarantees their top quality, and the fulfilment of environmental and energy-saving norms. Green terraces have been designed on the rooftops, on which one will be able to work, have lunch or rest, while admiring the shipyard panoramic views. The construction process of DOKI Office will take 2 years.

Torus, at the solemn gala during which the award was handed, was represented by Edyta Korycka, Investment Planning Director, and Maciej Suchanowski, project manager.

Two years ago, during the 18th edition of CIJ Awards Poland, Torus won the main prize in two categories: Best National Office Development – for the construction of the Alchemia complex in Gdańsk, and Best CSR Campaign – for the realization of the ‘Do nasadzenia’ campaign.
